this was our 4th time at Inyati and again, it was fantastic. It is difficult to say each time gets better, but each time it delivers something unique that will live in the mind forever.
The big 5 were seen numerous times, but the Mapogo pride at night surrounding the vehicle were stunning, and provided a truly spine tingling experience.
That combined with the pursuit of the wild dogs to watch them "enjoy" their Impala kill, I suspect will never be bettered in a visit to Africa again.
Piet and Nelson were the stars of the truck this time and Hazel in reception ensured the visit went very smoothly.
Levy behind the bar understood the meaning of a cold beer (and plenty thereof) - and right from the start, Priscilla was hugely helpful in getting us exactly what we needed.
Roll on visit number 5 - and time for the kids to come :-)

A fantastic pre-Christmas stay with great game viewing. Well done to Piet and Nelson who showed us the BIG 5 many times and wild dog chases that left us stunned! Dinner in the bush is a highlight with local dancing etc. Food was non fussy - salads and meats etc and was perfect. Rooms give you a feeling of sleeping right out in the bush with the wildlife - which frequently comes to visit. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted. Many thanks go especially to Piet and Nelson for their personal service which we much appreciated. My son Oliver is now a Wildlife fan and we will all come again.

Thank you for all the great memories! We had such a great stay I promised myself to write a great review as soon as I got back home.
After 3 days, we hated to leave. Our expectations were totally exceeded. Location, food, rooms, staff... EXCELLENT! We drove from Joburg, and even before getting there, elephants and jiraffes crossed our path.
Game drives were the ultimate experience. We saw the Big 5 many times. Thanks George and Sully for all the game viewing and perfect photo opportunities!
Great extras — Superb details (4-pole beds with mosquito nets, hot water bottles and blankies for cold early morning game drives, mosquito repellent cans in your room).
If we go back to SA, we will definitely repeat!

I’ve been meaning to email for ages to say thank you to everyone at Inyati for an absolutely wonderful start to our honeymoon in early June – we meant to write in your guestbook before we left but it completely slipped our minds!

We just had the most amazing time – everyone at Inyati made us feel so welcome and it couldn’t have been a better start to our honeymoon. The lodge is gorgeous, the drives we went on were completely stunning (we saw all the big 5 – thank you so much George and Solly!) and have been recommending Inyati to everyone we know since we got home, it is an incredibly special place.

A huge, huge thank you to everyone for making it so perfect for us. We will never forget it and hope to come back one day!

Love from Lucie & Nick Peplow XX

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Inyati! We were visiting our 18 year old son who's been volunteering in Malawi for six months. He met us for the safari and it was perfect. We stayed for four nights and went on 8 game drives. Each one was different from the others. Khimbini & Richard are quite the team. At one point, we dropped off Richard so he could track a leopard on foot. He did find the leopard ... AND its kill! ... 1.5 km from the point where we dropped him off! We were simply astounded.

The game viewing is incredible. We saw five different leopards, eleven lions, sat in the midst of a herd of elephants as they had their morning brunch ... the list of animals we saw is pages long. (Literally. We asked Khimbini to go over our pictures with us before we left so we could identify the animals.)

Many animals game right up onto the lodge property and you could watch them as you relaxed or ate a meal. Elephants, baboons, monkeys, warthogs ... As my son pointed out, we saw four of the big five right from the porch of the lodge.

The food was also fantastic. The chef at the lodge makes scrumptious meals for brunch, high tea and dinner. The wine list accommodated all types of budgets.

We stayed in a family room that would accommodate five people comfortably. Very spacious and lovely.

The website doesn't do the lodge justice. It is simply an amazing experience ... and far more reasonably priced than many other lodges I saw. I would recommend Inyati to anyone who wants to have a wonderful safari adventure.

We had the most amazing 4 days at Inyati. The setting, food, service and brilliant staff have made this a trip I will never forget. We got close up to all the big 5 plus many other animals including cheetahs. The highlight was following the pride of 7lions in the evening and being lucky enough to witness them hunt and kill 3 Wilderbeast.Special thanks to our guide George and tracker Solly you guys are the best.
We are already planning our next visit to Inyati.

We loved Inyati, it was absolutely fantastic. We saw all the animals thanks to Collen and Nelson, who made sure we got a very close view. Our highlights were the pride of lions including 6 cubs, a herd of around 35 elephants that strolled past our car and the leopard that Georgia discovered right behind us!!!. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay remarkable. We will be back.

Thanks to you all at Inyati for making our safari holiday the best imaginable. We had the most amazing time from seeing the Big 5 on our first morning drive aswell as a couple of cheetahs to our last evening meal with hippos grazing on the lawn a few metres away from the veranda. Just wonderful.
As well as the amazing wildlife, the location of Inyati plus the lovely service, accommodation and food make it a place we would definitely recommend. We hope to see you again very soon.

What a terrific experience there at Inyati! From the time we arrived, with Precious' excellent assistance, to the wonderful meals, and the superior professional game drives - we couldn't have asked for more. Isaac and Harry showed us leopard, lion, and cheetah, along with numerous other critters, large and small. While awaiting the early morning game drive on the verandah, a leopard strolled by. What an adventure! We hope to return someday.

We loved the rooms, the games (big 5 al the time, including a leopard cub!), the wines… Our ranger (Riaan) and our tracker (Richard) were spectacular! Richard simply could find game anywhere. Amazing. Great hospitality by John and Francine. We miss you already. Thank you and see you soon (hopefully!). Best wishes from Brazil.

We had a marvelous time at Inyati in June 2006. We've been to many lodges in the Sabi Sand and think that Inyati is just superb. The wildlife was fantastic and the accommodation and setting were comfortable and lovely. The food was very good and the flexibility and friendliness of the staff was perfect. We hope to return and to introduce Inyati to our friends and clients. The game was plentiful and frequented the camp on a regular basis. The six male lions were exquisite and the leopard sitings were fabulous. What a wonderful time we had!

We have just returned to Australia from a wonderful stay at Inyati where we had a family reunion and celebrated my father's 70th birthday. What a thrilling stay we had! On our night drive we saw a leopard and her two cubs, then sadly, saw a lone lioness who had just killed another leopard cub. She was immediately challenged by a pack of hyaenas and we watched her bolt up high into a tree, balancing precariously on a single branch. On our drive the next morning, we saw all the 'Big 5', including having the amazing experience of sitting quietly in our vehicle, surrounded by a herd of elephants breakfasting of several trees. We watched and listened in awe to a pride of lions finishing off the remains of a wildebeest - so close we could have reached out and touched them. Many thanks to George our ranger who made our short time in the bush an incredible experience that we will never forget.

Hello,

My friend Clive and I stayed at Inyati in the Summer of 2003 including new years. We experienced the massive quantities of flying termites of the first rains, the hippo parade as we ate our evening meals, we tracked leopards and amazingly we found leopards, a bbq in the bush with hyenas was no problem.
Our rangers "Richard 1" and "Richard 2" were very personable and knowledgeable. When R2 jumped off the vehicle and ventured into the bush hot on the heals of a big male lion I was a little concerned for his safety - but he was OK!! A walking safari to a place near the lodge where we had witnessed a lion hunt a few days earlier was really a great memory for me as I have a real affinity with the big cats and to be there on foot - wow. On the same walking safari we convinced R2 to make a didgereedoo from a large Kudu horn he salvaged - I wonder if he actually plays that horn to wake the guests for their early morning drives?

Anyhow to sum up Inyati = Unforgettable.
I recently started a new website to put my pics from Inyati on.
I encourage others who have visited Inyati to go to my website: www.africamad.com and upload your pics so the world can see.

Thank you
David Ferris

What else is there to say, expect… we were charged and struck by an elephant, got up-close and comfortable with a growling lion, got “stuck” between two lionesses hunting in the midst of night, chased a leopard just to catch up and realise between all the commotion, it had caught a rabbit, enjoyed lunch watching the passing of an elephant, then buffalo, then leopard all in line on the near horizon, experienced the amasing byte of a termite, sat next to Jock’s tree and then some, including being “charmed” by an elephant cow whoosing her tail all across my knee on the Land Rover etc etc etc! The Lord God has created nature so wonderful and with such care to detail - for us all, if only every one of us can experience it in this state we had at Inyati!

Oh, the elephant charge was that of a 3 week old baby elephant! It ran up to us, head-butted the vehicle two times before running with low hanging tail back to its mommy! Surreal!

:)

Lekker ry!

We stayed for 5 days at Inyati in 1992. It was a fantastic experience - one we will never forget! It was so exciting to go out on the night rides with the lions roaring in the distance - it was spectacular! We brought our two children with us to experence a game reserve in South Africa - one they will never forget! I can not say enough about the food, staff, our rooms - it was a vacation that will always be #1 on our list!
Thank you all - we hope to return someday!

We had such a fabulous time driving around in the open vehicles just enjoying the scenery and the extra added bonus of seeing wildlife too! our guide (Yolandi) and tracker (Sollie)made our experience out of this world! We were never hungry the entire time we were here and Barry and Garth made sure we tried all the Amarula drinks (Spring bucky and Quaqqaki). We hope to visit again some day..thank you for ALl your hospitality!!! Pauline and Tom Faye

My visit in Sept.2002 was absolutely FANTASTIC! Our group spotted all of the Big 5, thanks to the expertise of Henry and Harry. The night tracking of the leopards was one of the most exciting experiences I've ever had. The entire staff at Inyati was terrific...thank you for an unforgettable African Bush experience!

Hi there,
I am surprised that the 'guest book' is still so new. Thus I felt I had to make a comment.
Whilst living in SA, I have visited Sabi Sands Game Reserve on numerous occasions and have always admired Inyati when passing by on an early morning or evening game drive. I can vouch that the setting of the lodge is fantastic and I have no doubt whatsoever that your stay will be 'out of this world' and well worth the outlay. I don't think one can achieve a better Southern African experience in any other location.
I look forward to visiting soon,
Peter.
